Sip a Ginger Day Stir up some ginger vodka cocktails!

We prefer spicy Ginger to mundane Mary Ann. We'd pick fiery Prince Harry over fair-haired Will any day. And spice is better in our books than sugar. So, when we got wind of a new ginger-flavored vodka, we made a bee-line to our local liquorville! SKYY Infusions Ginger is North America's first and only vodka made with ginger. The sweet-savory ingredient is delish in pop, cookies and bread, so why not over ice? After (several) liberally poured samples, we can definitively say this lip-smacking libation is now a permanent exhibit in our cocktail collection.

To test drive this latest model of vodka, take one of these über-cool cocktails for a spin.

 Sweet Heat
1 1/2 oz. SKYY Infusions Ginger vokda
Small de-seeded habanero pepper slice
3/4 oz. agave syrup
3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
Candied ginger

Gently muddle pepper slice in cocktail shaker. Mix with other ingredients, except candied ginger, and ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with candied ginger on rim of glass.

Ginger & (Bloody) Mary Ann
2 oz. SKYY Infusions Ginger vodka
4 oz. tomato juice
1/2 oz. lemon juice
1/2 Tbsp. salted capers
1 Tbsp. bacon bits
2 dashes Worcestershire sauce

Combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a pickled green bean.
