It's no wonder that incorporating social media into a wedding celebration is trendy among millennial couples, considering the bride and groom - and their guests - spend most of their lives online.
We LOVE the simple, yet brilliant, way that Burt Herman and Elizabeth Oliner incorporated social media into their special day by creating a custom hashtag for their Napa Valley nuptials.
The tech-savvy bride and groom knew that their guests would be snapping pics on their smartphones throughout the day and sharing them on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Assigning the wedding a hashtag resulted in a "crowdsourced" live streaming of the day that allowed guests to participate in the event in a unique (and free!) way.
As Herman said, creating a hashtag and sharing it with their guests "was a fun way to let people be involved, and have people contribute to the history of the wedding so we could all see it and share it for the future."
