Wilbur and Theresa Faiss married on April 14th, 1933.
The Vegas couple has been married 78 years -- and has been certified as the longest-married couple by the Worldwide Marriage Encounter.
Nominated by their son, Bob Faiss, for the award, Wilbur and Theresa were thrilled to receive the honor.
And President Barack Obama even plans to mention them in a speech next time he's in Vegas.
"How often does an ordinary guy get recognition by the President of the
United States? It's one of these things that's once-in-a-lifetime," says 100-year-old Wilbur.
Wilbur met Theresa -- now 96 -- when she was skating at a roller rink. They now have -- count 'em -- three children, six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
So what's their secret to a lasting marriage? "It's very simple. It's give and take and compromise," says Wilbur. "Every day ask her how she feels and 'Is there anything I can do for you?' And say, 'Honey, I still love you.'"
And he says to always remember birthdays, anniversaries and Valentine’s Day.
Remember that guys.
