Jessica Simpson and fiance, Eric Johnson, welcomed a baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson, in L.A. on Tuesday morning.
Jessica announced the arrival of their daughter (the couple's first child together) on her website on Tuesday morning.
"Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby Maxwell Drew Johnson 9 lbs. 13 oz. 21 3/4," she wrote. We imagine that Jess is also elated that her pregnancy is over--that was one ginormous baby bump!
A source reveals that Maxwell gets her middle name from her maternal grandmother, Tina Simpson, whose maiden name is Drew.
"We are so grateful for all of the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!" the new mom continued on her website.
Jess and Eric haven't set a wedding date yet, but Jess previously said that she wants to lose the baby weight before she walks down the aisle. In a recently appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live she told Kimmel that Johsnon "feels my husband already."
Congrats to the happy family! We can't wait to see pics of baby Maxwell.
