It depends on the material your toys are made of, but generally you can just use mild soap with warm water. As a personal rule, I avoid using anything that contains harsh fragrances or chemicals: If I wouldn’t wash my precious bits with it, I don’t wash my sex toys with it. Some porous materials, such as soft jellies and cyberskins, can’t be washed at all—actually, I would avoid those completely, as they may contain phthalates and other harmful chemicals. Toys made of Pyrex or stainless steel, on the other hand, can be boiled. If you’re not sure what’s what, check the product’s packaging or speak to a well-informed clerk at your friendly neighbourhood sex shop.
