Imagine walking into a movie theater with your boyfriend expecting to enjoy an evening of Hollywood entertainment. The lights dim and the familiar Lionsgate logo appears on the screen, cuing a preview.
At first, it seems like an ordinary trailer: the story of a man who's got it all, except for one thing -- love. When he meets and falls in love with a woman, you start to recognize parallels between your love story and the plot of this "trailer."
This couple, like you and your sweetie, live 3,000 miles away from each other, they both have children from previous relationships and she puts powdered Vitamin C in her water just like you do... and then it clicks. You tear up as you realize that this is the story of you and your boyfriend and that it's going to end with a proposal.
Well, that's what happened to this lucky lady. Her sweet-slash-brilliant boyfriend, New York Times tech writer David Pogue, created this incredible fake movie trailer (starring real professional actors!) and convinced a theater to let him play it before the real movie. Various members of their families were in the audience and got to witness the epic proposal. Beat that, Hollywood!
Check out the amazing proposal for yourself... you'll especially love perfectly-timed ending!
