We've all seen them -- printed on bland ivory card stock, scrolly gold writing exhorting you to share in "our special day".
Well, one American couple is saying "no" to blah wedding invitations -- in a seriously creative way. Matt Chatham and Amanda Bellucco created six different versions of their Save the Date cards, tailoring them to the recipient's personality.
And it wasn't just "red card for Grandma, blue for the sorority sisters." We're talking elaborate photo shoots, in full costume and full-on make-up (hello, zombie bride!). There's Bacall/Bogart-style homage to film noir, a golden light-filled hippie version, and our favourite -- the mugshot, where the prisoner number spells out the wedding date.
Check out their wedding website here for the full gallery (plus outtakes). We're expecting big things from your real invitations, you two!
